This particular opportunity is for a full-time, hourly Security Officer position based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, specifically operating out of the Eldorado Hotel & Spa. The role offers competitive pay starting at $17.00 per hour, dependent on experience, alongside a robust benefits package designed to support the health and well-being of employees. The Security Officer position is pivotal in maintaining the safety and quality of the property, directly supporting Heritage Hotels & Resorts' mission to create safe, memorable experiences for all guests. The Security Officer will work under the supervision of the Regional Director of Security and is responsible for patrolling the property, identifying and addressing security issues, and ensuring compliance with various safety and health regulations. A key aspect of this role is to reduce the chances of crime by maintaining a visible security presence and being proactive in problem-solving any situations that arise. The officer must maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with both guests and coworkers, contributing positively to the property’s welcoming environment. Additional responsibilities include responding to emergencies as outlined in the Emergency Service Procedures, assisting guests as needed with room access, valet, bell services, and housekeeping duties, and ensuring compliance with liquor laws on the premises. The Security Officer is also expected to maintain thorough and confidential incident reports and participate in the development and presentation of security-related programs. Cross-training opportunities are available to support staffing at sister properties within the Heritage Companies portfolio, adding a valuable dimension to the role and providing varied experience within the hospitality industry. The role demands physical stamina, excellent communication skills, and flexibility in hours, including working evenings, weekends, and holidays.   • High school diploma or equivalent experience or training
  • Minimum of 2 years or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CPR certification and driver’s license required
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and late nights
  • Must be able to lift, push, reach for, carry 30 plus pounds frequently
  • Strong knowledge of security software and MS Office preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to multitask
  • Alcohol servers license preferred
