The Guest Services Associate role is a pivotal position within Travel + Leisure Co., focused on ensuring that guests have memorable vacations from the moment of registration until checkout. This position requires a warm, welcoming demeanor and a service-minded attitude, as associates will be responsible for delivering excellent guest service that leaves lasting impressions. The role involves guiding guests through the registration process, issuing unit keys, and providing detailed information about the resort and local attractions to enhance the guest experience. The Guest Services Associate will handle cash and credit card transactions following strict procedures, balancing cash receipts and completing other cashier responsibilities with accuracy and integrity. Checking guests out efficiently, verifying charges, and ensuring precise guest folios are also critical parts of the role.
In addition, the Guest Services Associate will handle reservations for individuals and groups, provide accurate room rate quotes, and respond to guest inquiries and concerns promptly and thoroughly. Effective communication and coordination with other departments are essential to promote teamwork and uphold a high standard of service quality. - High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of guest services experience in a hospitality environment or one year of customer service experience in a service or retail environment preferred
- Professional appearance and a positive, can-do attitude
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write and understand English
- Ability to solve problems with a minimum of supervision
- Basic math skills and knowledge of proper cash handling procedures
