The Porter-New/Used at AutoNation plays an essential role in maintaining the dealership’s vehicle inventory and property appearance. This full-time position is responsible for the day-to-day tasks that ensure the vehicle lot remains neat, orderly, and in accordance with dealership display standards, which helps create an attractive presentation for customers. The role requires the ability to move vehicles safely, prepare them for display by cleaning and placing window stickers accurately, and assist with customer vehicle deliveries. In addition to vehicle handling, the Porter-New/Used supports dealership operations by transporting customers and staff as needed, managing vehicle pick-up and delivery between storage facilities and other dealerships, and assisting with seasonal cleanup efforts, such as weather-related maintenance. Assistance with building and grounds upkeep further supports creating a welcoming dealership environment. Special projects and other duties may be assigned to help meet operational needs. This position is critical for the smooth functioning of daily dealership activities and contributes significantly to the overall customer experience by ensuring vehicles are well-maintained, presentable, and accessible.
