The Porter-New/Used position at AutoNation is a crucial role responsible for maintaining the overall upkeep of vehicles and dealership property, supporting sales operations, and ensuring the lot remains orderly and presentable to customers. This role involves various hands-on tasks including the movement of vehicles as directed by sales managers, placement of window stickers, and ensuring vehicles on the lot and showroom are clean and well-maintained. Additionally, the position entails providing transportation services for customers and dealership staff as needed, assisting with customer vehicle deliveries, and managing the logistics of vehicle storage and transfers between dealerships. The Porter is also involved in periodic building and grounds maintenance and weather-related clean-up activities, ensuring the dealership remains safe and attractive in all conditions. Ideal candidates should have a basic knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance, the ability to safely operate machinery, and possess a valid state driver's license with the capability to drive manual transmissions and transport vehicles across surrounding states.
