The role of the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Instructor at SAIC CTS involves a dynamic, hands-on approach to delivering classroom and simulation-based training. This full-time position is based at the Memphis TRACON, where the instructor will support the FAA by providing training services essential for the certification and continued education of air traffic controllers. The primary responsibility includes instructing developmental controllers and Certified Professional Controllers (CPCs), utilizing advanced ATC automation and simulation systems. A significant aspect of the role involves mentoring students and Remote Pilot Operators (RPOs), contributing to curriculum design, and maintaining compliance with industry standards through laboratory certifications. • US citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
• minimum five years FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic or recent contract instructor experience at FAA facility
• experience must be at the same or higher level of ATC facility as Memphis TRACON (M03)
• high school diploma or equivalent
• FAA CPC certification with ability to obtain and maintain Instructor-II Simulation Laboratory and Classroom Certification
