The Safety Manager role at CORE Safety Group, based in Seattle, WA, is a critical position responsible for overseeing the implementation and administration of safety programs within an assigned regional area, and possibly influencing corporate-wide safety initiatives. This full-time position offers an annual salary range between $110,000 and $130,000. The Safety Manager serves as a pivotal figure in coordinating and providing technical expertise in all areas related to safety, health, and environmental compliance. The role demands hands-on leadership to guide clients through developing and enhancing their safety programs with the ultimate goal of zero accidents and incidents.
In this role, the Safety Manager conducts thorough gap analyses to understand client safety needs accurately, facilitating the development of processes and procedures that reduce and eliminate workplace hazards. The position involves routine on-site project inspections across both construction and general industry operations to identify and rectify potential safety risks promptly. The Safety Manager also designs and delivers tailored training programs ensuring that new and existing safety policies are effectively communicated and practiced.
Additional responsibilities include investigating accidents and near misses to determine root causes, then implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence. The Safety Manager crafts project-specific safety plans and comprehensive job hazard analyses necessary for client compliance. They play a key role in monitoring the accuracy and completeness of accident reports and investigations and advocate for the promotion of safety as a core organizational value by upholding corporate ethics and safety culture initiatives.
The position requires a highly skilled individual with strong analytical abilities, proficiency in using technology such as SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Power BI, and excellent technical writing skills to develop and refine safety policies. The role demands up to 25 percent travel mostly within the regional area and availability to be based in or relocate to Seattle, WA.

- A bachelor’s degree in safety management, construction management, or related area or CHST or OHST designation
- Minimum of 5 years safety experience
- Knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards CFR 1926, General Industry Standards CFR 1910 and other best management practices
- Excellent math and analytical skills
- Knowledge of typical construction processes
- Strong background in use of technology
- Computer skills using SharePoint and MS Office, including Excel and Power BI
- Technical writing capabilities of developing policies and procedures for clients
- Up to 25 percent travel required
- Local to Seattle, WA or willing to permanently relocate to the area
