The company is currently seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) professional to join their local project office in Denver, Colorado, in the role of Safety Manager. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range between $65,000 and $85,000, commensurate with education and experience. The Safety Manager will play a critical role in supporting, assisting, monitoring, guiding, training, and ensuring adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. The scope of this role involves managing multiple facilities to achieve 100% compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. These responsibilities span diverse areas such as temporary traffic control and maintenance of traffic, hazard communication, emergency response, safety audits, inspections, and comprehensive employee training programs. This position also entails close collaboration with cross-functional site management teams to maintain EHS performance metrics and reporting systems that accurately reflect the safety status across sites. The Safety Manager will actively contribute to enhancing employee engagement and promoting a proactive safety culture. They will conduct safety inspections, coordinate and lead training sessions both in classroom and highway settings, and ensure the prompt and effective closure of safety concerns. This role requires periodic travel, approximately up to 25%, to facilitate training coordination and onsite support.   • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health or construction related degree or minimum of five years related experience
  • Strong, critical thinking skills and capable of anticipating organizational needs
  • Ability to work effectively handling multiple projects
  • Roadway construction or highway maintenance experience preferred
  • Maintenance of Traffic / Traffic Control Supervisor certification and card required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-service oriented
  • Knowledge of OSHA construction and general industry regulations
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability and willingness to travel, including overnight trips
  • Clean driving record
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Ability to work full time Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with flexibility for outside schedule work
