The company is currently seeking a Construction Safety Advisor for a construction project in San Antonio, Texas. This role is specifically tailored for a professional who prioritizes safety and client needs, excels in collaborative team environments, and is adaptable to changes and travel requirements. The Construction Safety Advisor will focus on supporting a year-long construction project at a data center site. This project involves working six days a week for 10 hours each day, demanding a high level of stamina and dedication. In this position, the advisor will be responsible for overseeing daily safety operations, which include conducting safety observations, identifying and mitigating hazards, and ensuring rigorous compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety standards. An integral part of the role involves leading onsite safety training sessions, coordinating new hire orientations, and participating in safety meetings to foster a culture of awareness and prevention. The Construction Safety Advisor will also be expected to represent the contractor during progress meetings and prepare detailed reports on safety metrics and findings using various software tools. Beyond routine safety oversight, the advisor will perform job hazard analyses, manage incident responses, and conduct contractor program reviews. This multifaceted role requires a proactive approach to safety management, with an emphasis on communication, technical knowledge, and leadership in promoting workplace safety standards. The position's physical demands include moving extensively across the site, ascending and descending stairs and ladders, withstanding exposure to extreme weather conditions, loud noises, and the proper use of personal protective equipment. Candidates with a background in safety, preferably holding certifications like BSP, CSP, CHST, STSC, or OSHA 500, are highly preferred. Additionally, proficiency in both English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate and enforce safety protocols on site.   • Must have at least five years of construction safety experience
  • bilingual in English and Spanish
  • preferred certifications include BCSP, CSP, CHST, STSC
  • degree in safety or related fields preferred
  • OSHA 500 certification strongly preferred
  • current first-aid and CPR certification
  • OSHA 30-hour construction certification
