The role of Runner No-Driving at HMSHost is integral to the smooth operations of supply chain and inventory management within the airport’s food and beverage services. This non-exempt position typically reports to the Warehouse Manager or General Manager and involves a combination of physical and clerical responsibilities associated with the reception, verification, and distribution of supplies and finished products. Essential to this role is the emphasis on accurate handling of shipments, ensuring all items are correctly packaged, labeled, and accounted for, which supports the overall efficiency of the company’s warehouse and retail operations. The Runner No-Driving must possess keen attention to detail in verifying shipping records and managing inventory using computer systems.
This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining stock levels by pulling, preparing, and processing daily orders based on store requisitions while actively identifying and managing damaged or expired products. Additionally, the role involves following strict company guidelines related to product rotation, security, and safety protocols to uphold the quality and safety standards expected by HMSHost. The Runner is also tasked with assisting in warehouse maintenance, including upkeep of storage fixtures, cleanliness, and participation in physical inventory counts, ensuring the operational space remains organized and compliant with HACCP standards where applicable.
