The Rooms Manager-in-Training (MIT) Program at HEI is designed as a fast-track career development opportunity, specifically targeting recent college graduates who are passionate about hospitality management. This intensive 12-month program immerses participants in both the Front Office and Housekeeping departments of one of HEI's hotels, providing hands-on experience and comprehensive exposure to operational management within the hospitality environment. Throughout the program, Rooms MIT participants will engage in shadowing and rotational shifts across multiple positions within the Front Office and Housekeeping departments, allowing them to gain a robust understanding of daily hotel operations. Trainees will be expected to actively participate in departmental meetings and leadership discussions, fostering communication skills and professional development. A key focus includes becoming proficient with property management systems (PMS) and other operational tools, as well as mastering labor management techniques to control costs effectively.
