The role of the Rodbuster at Baker Construction is critical to the successful execution of concrete construction projects. Under the supervision of a Foreman, the Rodbuster is responsible for hoisting and placing all necessary reinforcing materials including rebar, wire mesh, and post-tension cables. This position requires strict adherence to construction documents such as shop drawings, bar tags, and cut sheets to ensure that all reinforcement is placed accurately and safely. As a Rodbuster, you will be involved in multiple facets of concrete reinforcement, including foundation projects, walls, columns, structural decks, slab-on-grade installations, as well as tilt-up and precast concrete elements. The Rodbuster role demands a competent and safety-conscious individual who can work productively and effectively as part of a team. Responsibilities include installing rebar for foundations, walls, and columns, as well as placing reinforcing and post tension for structural decks and slab-on-grade concrete projects.
