The Cashier position at Aramark offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy engaging with customers and excel in operations management within a dynamic environment. This hourly role pays between $17.00 and $17.50 and involves a range of responsibilities essential to providing seamless customer service and ensuring efficient financial transactions. The ideal candidate will be sociable, attentive, and adept at managing cash flow while maintaining accuracy and compliance with company policies.
As a Cashier, you will be the frontline ambassador for Aramark, greeting guests warmly and anticipating their needs to enhance their experience. Your role will involve operating point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and handling cash and credit transactions with precision and integrity. You will also be responsible for balancing and organizing the cash drawer, preparing cashier slips, and making necessary deposits in accordance with Aramark's strict cash handling procedures.
Beyond financial duties, you will ensure merchandise knowledge is up-to-date to assist customers effectively, helping to answer queries and facilitating a smooth shopping or dining experience. Your role will extend to performing opening and closing duties as scheduled and maintaining a clean and sanitary work area to uphold health and safety standards throughout your shift. Stock management is another crucial aspect, ensuring that products are replenished and readily available during service hours.

 - Previous customer service experience preferred
 - Previous cash handling experience preferred
 - Basic math and counting skills required
 - Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
 - Completion of Food Handler and Alcohol Service trainings as required by location
 - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
 - Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull as required
 - Willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
