This job opportunity is for the role of an Area Lead Receptionist at VSP Vision, a full-time position with an hourly pay range of $10.64 to $14.10. The Area Lead Receptionist plays a key role in customer interaction by greeting and assisting clients, managing appointment scheduling, and ensuring efficient front desk operations. This position requires the incumbent to train and assist receptionists, maintaining high customer service standards across the area. Handling patient records, insurance pre-authorizations, payment collections, and answering phone inquiries are important functions within this role. The Area Lead Receptionist is also responsible for confirming appointments and addressing no-shows, supporting management in receptionist training, and potentially cross-training in retail areas.
This role is critical in maintaining operational efficiency and delivering a welcoming environment for patients and customers. It requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, including administrative duties, communication, and problem-solving under pressure. The candidate must be adept at using computer systems and software relevant to scheduling, records management, and billing. The physical demands include standing, walking, reaching, and lifting moderately heavy items, demanding a flexible physical capacity.
