In this role, you will be actively engaged in maintaining the store's salesfloor to ensure it is "runway ready" at all times through re-merchandising and straightening. You will assist customers at the point-of-sale across multiple platforms— in-store, online, and mobile—ensuring each transaction is smooth and friendly. Handling merchandise, including bulky or heavy items, is an essential part of the job. Supporting customers in the fitting room and keeping clothing organized and returned to the salesfloor will also be part of your daily duties. Additionally, maintaining clean and clutter-free sales areas and well-organized stockrooms are important responsibilities. This position demands flexibility as you may occasionally work in different store areas to support the overall customer experience and store operations. You will use various technologies to assist in daily tasks and adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards. A key aspect of your role will also be promoting company initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program to enhance customer engagement and loyalty. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, a high level of accountability and initiative, and excellent organizational abilities to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment. Physical stamina is required as the job involves continuous movement throughout the shift, including bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and lifting items up to 25 pounds. The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs is essential. • High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Physical capability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching
• Ability to handle and lift bulky items weighing up to 25 pounds
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
