The role of Restaurant Shift Lead at Texas Roadhouse is designed for individuals who possess strong communication and leadership abilities, ready to assist the management team in delivering an unforgettable dining experience. Depending on whether the shift lead is assigned to the Front of House (FOH) or Back of House (BOH), responsibilities will vary but always center on supporting the team and enhancing guest satisfaction.
As a Restaurant Shift Lead, you will be hands-on in supervising the restaurant environment, ensuring that cost and labor targets are met, and providing timely assistance in various operational areas including serving, hosting, and cooking when necessary. You will take part in promoting staff engagement through hosted promotions and Alley Rallies, helping enforce liquor laws and responsible alcohol service guidelines, and controlling guest flow while monitoring ticket times.
This leadership role requires coaching employees to ensure consistency in food quality and service, contributing directly to increased sales and restaurant reputation. The shift lead is also responsible for fostering a positive culture based on core values such as passion, partnership, integrity, and fun with purpose. Working primarily during peak business hours, you will set the pace and standard for both Front and Back of House teams, creating a safe and enjoyable environment for staff and guests alike.
