The role of Restaurant Manager at Texas Roadhouse is integral to maintaining the high standards that define the company. This full-time leadership position involves overseeing both the Front of House and Back of House operations to ensure that every guest experiences the company’s Legendary Food and Legendary Service throughout their visit. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for managing a diverse team of hourly employees, ranging from servers and cooks to hosts and bartenders. Your leadership will encompass conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplining team members to foster growth and accountability.
You will take an active role in recruitment by reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations to build a dynamic, efficient team. Managing employee schedules, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth operations during all phases of the restaurant’s business hours will be central to your responsibilities. In addition to people management, you will focus on driving sales, enhancing guest satisfaction, and improving service quality. Hands-on involvement includes directing and scheduling comprehensive training sessions for both Front of House and Back of House staff to maintain top-tier culinary and service standards.
A critical part of your job will also be supervising food production and preparation, ensuring adherence to established recipes and procedures. You will conduct formal Taste & Temps line checks to guarantee food quality and safety. Security oversight is another key duty, ensuring the safety of employees and guests by enforcing appropriate measures. Financial acumen is necessary as you manage food, supplies, and liquor costs by conducting weekly inventories, practicing effective cost control, and monitoring safe food handling procedures to meet health regulations.
