This particular role is for a Guest Services Associate working overnight shifts from 10 pm to 6 am. This hourly position, paying $15 plus tips, is focused on delivering outstanding guest service throughout their stay, from arrival to departure. The Guest Services Associate is a crucial part of creating a welcoming and efficient experience for guests by assisting with check-in and check-out processes, handling luggage, providing directions and information, and facilitating transportation needs. The role requires a proactive attitude where the associate is visible in the lobby, ready to assist guests promptly. Responsibilities extend to escorting guests to rooms, promoting hotel amenities, managing luggage storage, and the delivery of keys and messages in a timely manner.
The associate will also support transportation logistics, including valet parking, securing taxis, and driving hotel vans while maintaining their cleanliness and functionality. Other tasks include delivering and picking up guest laundry, keeping the porte cochere (hotel entrance area) clear of debris, answering telephones professionally, and providing shuttle services when assigned. The associate will utilize the GXP system to complete tasks and report any issues to ensure smooth operations. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, spend long hours moving around the hotel, and maintain a professional personal image and uniform standards.
This role requires excellent communication skills in English, basic computer skills, and the ability to handle guest service issues efficiently. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of customer service experience, a valid North Carolina driver’s license with a good driving record, and the flexibility to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
