Core Spaces (Core) is a dynamic real estate investment manager founded in 2010, specializing in the student housing and build-to-rent (BTR) sectors. Core is much more than just a real estate company; it is a people-first company that emphasizes the importance of relationships as much as it does building properties. The company prides itself on a mission-driven culture reflected in its six core values: PUSH (Invent Better Places to Live), GRIT (We Got This), LIFT (Help Each Other Win), SHINE (Bring Your Full Self), UPHOLD (Never Break Trust), and GROW (Always Get Better). These values shape the way Core operates daily, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Core's unique approach has revolutionized the residential living experience by integrating progressive design, world-class amenities, and hospitality-driven service in their communities. Core's student housing portfolio boasts over 48,000 beds currently owned or managed, with an exciting pipeline of over 49,800 beds in development. Additionally, Core’s BTR division includes more than 3,000 homes that are currently under development, leasing, or planned in high-growth metropolitan areas across the nation. The company’s comprehensive portfolio is designed to meet evolving demands of modern living, ensuring residents enjoy convenience, comfort, and community. The Porter role at Core Spaces is a vital on-site position responsible for maintaining the grounds and cleanliness of their properties to uphold the high standards of quality and aesthetic appeal. This full-time position requires the Porter to perform a variety of groundskeeping and maintenance tasks including removing trash, preparing trash for waste collection, mopping, sweeping, and daily cleaning of assigned areas. The Porter plays an essential role in ensuring the exterior and interior spaces maintain an inviting and well-kept appearance at all times. Supporting the communal and recreational areas, such as swimming pools and amenity spaces, is also a key function, alongside arranging furniture and ensuring product presentation aligns with Core’s brand and company standards. The position demands a person comfortable with physical work, as regular lifting of objects up to 50 pounds is required, as well as the ability to manage tasks such as bending and stooping throughout the workday. Flexibility is essential; the role requires adherence to scheduled shifts onsite and availability for additional hours in the evenings, weekends, and overtime when necessary. This includes support during busy periods such as move-outs, turns, and move-ins that extend beyond regular hours. While prior experience in maintenance or a skilled trade and working in student housing or multifamily settings is preferred, Core also values candidates who have a willingness to learn and excel within their responsibilities. The position reports directly to the Community Engineering Manager. This opportunity offers competitive pay, a supportive and inclusive culture, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to foster work-life balance and employee well-being. Core Spaces encourages people who are energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to contributing to transforming residential living to apply and become part of a thriving team focused on delivering exceptional resident experiences.
