The Food Service Worker position at Charleston Work Release Center, operated by Aramark, plays a vital role in ensuring meal preparation and food service operations are executed efficiently and according to strict guidelines. This role involves supervising inmates to maintain high standards of food production and safety, training workers on proper food preparation methods, and enforcing sanitation protocols. The Food Service Worker at this facility is a supervisory position responsible for coordinating schedules, assigning tasks, monitoring security measures, and ensuring all procedures conform to Aramark’s operating standards as well as correctional facility policies. The candidate will be entrusted with maintaining meal quality, adhering to dietary guidelines, and ensuring timely and efficient meal service. Experience in food service, especially in supervisory roles and working within correctional environments, is preferred. The role demands a strong ability to exercise judgment, work independently with limited supervision, and maintain a professional and safe work environment.
