Fife Aquatic Center is a well-established community facility dedicated to providing aquatic programs, lessons, and recreational opportunities for residents of all ages. The Fife Aquatic Center is currently seeking a professional and friendly individual to join its team as a Receptionist under the direction of the Assistant Parks, Recreation and Aquatics Director or designee. This position is integral to the smooth daily operations of the reception desk and serves as the primary point of contact for patrons entering the facility. The Receptionist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing registrations and transactions efficiently, and supporting the overall administration of day-to-day aquatic center activities. In this role, the Receptionist will greet and assist patrons in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring every visitor receives timely and accurate information about aquatic programs, classes, facility amenities, and rental opportunities. Using the REC1 software system, the Receptionist will handle participant registration, account management, and payment processing, including cash, check, and credit card transactions. Maintaining a balanced cash drawer and completing accurate daily reports are key responsibilities that ensure financial accountability and operational integrity. The Receptionist also manages multiple phone lines, responding to public inquiries and taking messages as necessary. Additional responsibilities include selling and restocking retail and concession items, tracking participant progress and swim levels, and helping to keep the reception and lobby areas clean and organized. This role may also involve assisting with cleaning and sanitizing common areas like restrooms and lobby spaces as needed to maintain a healthy and welcoming environment. Successful candidates for this position will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience working in recreation or aquatic facility administration, strong computer skills with familiarity in registration software, and excellent communication abilities are highly desirable.
