The role of a Concierge/Receptionist at Sandhill Cove Retirement Community is pivotal in creating a positive first impression. This hospitality-focused position serves as the welcoming face for residents, guests, prospective employees, suppliers, vendors, and service providers visiting the community. The Concierge/Receptionist is responsible for greeting visitors warmly and professionally, ensuring they feel valued and cared for from the moment they arrive. This role requires a blend of excellent communication skills, a customer service mindset, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently while maintaining a calm and friendly demeanor. In this role, the Concierge/Receptionist provides ongoing telephone coverage, managing calls with professionalism and offering prompt assistance. They resolve issues presented by residents, guests, vendors, and suppliers tactfully, ensuring both organizational objectives and individual satisfaction are met. A key responsibility involves accepting and logging delivery packages, notifying residents promptly to maintain smooth operations. Additionally, the Concierge/Receptionist prepares maintenance work orders as requested and assists the Business Office Manager with various projects and assignments. This position demands attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask amidst a dynamic environment. The position offers an hourly rate starting at $15.00, with shifts primarily scheduled on Wednesdays from 4:45 PM to 8:00 PM, and rotating Saturday and Sunday shifts from 8:45 AM to 2:30 PM or 2:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Weekend shifts alternate between morning and evening to accommodate operational needs. There are also opportunities for additional coverage during holidays and staff vacations, offering flexibility and potential for extra hours.
