This full-time position offers a competitive wage of $18.50 per hour plus additional perks, with work scheduled Monday through Thursday, typically commencing between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM. Unlike many receptionist roles, this position does not require weekend, holiday, or night shifts, making it ideal for candidates seeking a consistent daytime schedule. Your work location will be one of our client’s campuses in the Austin area, with a pre-determined schedule issued weekly. Flexibility is essential as occasional mid-day or pre-start location changes may be required due to staffing needs.
The Receptionist plays a critical role as the first point of contact, responsible for welcoming guests, managing visitor access, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include directing visitors, maintaining a comprehensive guest database, and issuing temporary badges when necessary. Proficiency with company intranet systems, telecom networks, and iOS-based platforms is necessary to efficiently complete administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is well-organized, detail-oriented, and adheres strictly to company attendance and work attire policies. This role also requires adaptability, as you may be asked to cover different building lobbies or shifts during personnel absences, breaks, or lunches. Beyond front desk duties, the receptionist assists with a variety of administrative support functions such as laminating, data entry, word processing, and inventory management.
Blackstone Consulting values employees who demonstrate a professional demeanor, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Being punctual, flexible, and able to manage time effectively are vital traits for success in this role. As part of the team, you will contribute not only to a smooth operational flow but also to upholding the company’s commitment to quality service and safety standards in all working areas.
