The Receptionist position at GEM is a vital front-facing role that acts as the first point of contact for visitors and callers. This full-time, in-office position requires a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week. As a key partner in ensuring the smooth operation of GEM's office, the Receptionist oversees front desk management, vendor coordination, delivery processing, facility support, and administrative assistance. The role demands professionalism, hospitality, and a keen attention to detail. Responsibilities include managing opening and closing procedures of the front desk, greeting visitors and vendors, routing phone calls courteously, handling mail and deliveries efficiently, and maintaining clean and organized reception and common areas. Aside from reception duties, the Receptionist manages office supplies, liaises with vendors and service providers for cleaning, maintenance, and other facility needs, and assists with office projects or renovations. Administrative tasks also form a part of this role, such as coordinating staff luncheons and firm-wide events, providing backup support for administrative tasks, scheduling, scanning, filing, and preparing documents. This role requires someone comfortable with multitasking and prioritizing without constant supervision, who demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills and fluency in English. Physical requirements include the ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lifting boxes up to 30 pounds. The work environment is a standard office setting, with no travel required beyond commuting to the firm or attending team events.   • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • 1-3 years of receptionist, front desk, or office coordination experience, or other relevant customer service or hospitality experience
  • Relevant experience in an office or related environment preferred
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English
