Ferguson is currently looking for a dedicated Receptionist to join their team. This full-time role offers an 8-hour workday, Monday through Friday, with work hours generally scheduled between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM EST. The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $15.00 to $20.00, making it an opportunity for those seeking steady employment with competitive pay. Ferguson is an equal opportunity employer and promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in the workplace. As a Receptionist at Ferguson, you will play a vital role in the administrative and operational functions of the organization. Your responsibilities will encompass greeting and managing visitors, vendors, and prospective associates, serving as the primary gatekeeper for the facility. Maintaining building security protocols, including visitor badge issuance and adherence to health screening policies, will be key aspects of this role as well. You will provide essential administrative support including managing phone calls—handling upwards of 250 calls per day—taking messages, photocopying, maintaining office supplies and equipment, and assisting with mail and delivery services. This position requires multitasking and involvement in limited scope project management, working collaboratively across multiple departments such as Human Resources, Communications, Operations, IT, and Facilities. You will assist with the coordination of the hiring process, new associate onboarding, associate recognition events, and hospitality activities. Maintaining a professional, clean, and safe reception and lobby area is also part of your duties. The role demands strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Your proactive problem-solving skills, superior time management abilities, and capacity to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization will be essential to success. The position also requires proficiency with Microsoft Office software, experience operating various office equipment, and familiarity with postal and shipping/receiving systems. Ferguson deeply values the wellbeing of its associates, offering a comprehensive benefits package that supports mental, physical, and financial health. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with company match. There are also additional inclusive benefits such as mental health coverage, gender affirming and family building support, paid parental leave, associate discounts, and opportunities for community involvement.
