Ferguson is currently seeking a Receptionist to join their team. This position is a full-time role with a schedule of Monday through Friday, working an 8-hour shift typically between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM EST. The hourly pay range for the Receptionist position is $15.00 to $20.00 and this role is eligible for bonus or incentive plans. This role entails delivering a broad range of diverse administrative and staff functions, including reception duties, mailroom services, general administrative support, and limited scope project management. The Receptionist will act as the primary gatekeeper for associates, vendors, delivery personnel, prospective associates, and guests by greeting and directing according to company protocols. The incumbent will also help maintain building security by issuing visitor badges, managing visitor access systems, and enforcing health screening policies.
Additionally, this position supports routine office activities such as answering phones, handling messages, photocopying, maintaining office inventories, and preparing purchase orders. The Receptionist will gather and compile information accurately into various documents or office systems and oversee operations within established budgets by reviewing and approving standard expenditures. Coordination of mail and delivery services, vendor communication for equipment servicing, and assisting with the hiring and onboarding processes for new associates are further responsibilities. The role includes arranging associate recognition events and hospitality initiatives, responding to routine inquiries about the organization, and ensuring the lobby and reception areas are safe, clean, and professional at all times. Participation in associate meetings and communication of relevant concerns to management is also expected.
