The Receptionist position at the new Athletic Center is a part-time role primarily staffed during weekend mornings, critical to maintaining the smooth operation of the front desk. Scheduled mainly from 5:45 am to 2:15 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, this role serves as the first point of contact for members and guests, offering a warm welcome and expert assistance. Hours may vary based on the club’s needs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a courteous, friendly demeanor. Responsibilities include answering incoming calls promptly, directing communications to appropriate departments or personnel, and managing messages efficiently. Greeting visitors, assisting with scheduling reservations for spa, massage therapists, tennis, and pickleball courts are also integral duties. The role demands multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to member and guest services. Additional vital tasks include handling mail correspondences, maintaining member charge records, enforcing dress codes, and managing reservations and member relations programs. The Receptionist ensures the lobby reception area is welcoming and orderly, controls traffic flow, and contributes to the overall positive experience for all visitors. Proficiency in multi-line telephone systems, reservation software, and general office applications like word processing and spreadsheets is necessary. Furthermore, this position requires the ability to work under pressure, handle emergencies with composure, and uphold the club’s regulations at all times.   • High school diploma or GED or higher
  • Minimum of two years in a resort, club or hospitality industry setting
  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Working knowledge of multi-line telephone equipment, reservation systems, and club software programs
  • Ability to type at least 50 wpm
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and email programs
  • Ability to enforce rules and regulations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Knowledge of emergency roles
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand, and lift up to 40 pounds
