The role of Receptionist at Sedgebrook is a vital position designed for a hospitality-focused individual who values excellent customer service and acts as the welcoming face of the community. This full-time, non-exempt position typically works 35 to 37.5 hours per week and requires availability Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday, covering shifts from 6:45 AM to 2:15 PM and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay does range from $19.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience, reflecting the importance Sedgebrook places on finding someone capable and dedicated to this role. The receptionist is responsible for managing front desk operations across two buildings, handling resident admissions and discharges, managing communications, and ensuring every visitor and resident receives prompt and courteous assistance. - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Minimum of one (1) year receptionist experience required
- Proficient in office software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and exceptional organizational skills
- Must be able to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to operate postage and copy machinery
- Must be able to speak conversational English to communicate with residents, visitors, family members, supervisor and co-workers
