We are currently seeking a Receptionist/Commercial Lines Technical Assistant to join our growing team in Houston, TX. This is a full-time position that reports to a department leader and plays a vital role in supporting the Commercial Lines Department. The primary responsibilities involve a combination of data entry, general administrative tasks, and assisting with the management and servicing of customer accounts. This role is pivotal in maintaining the efficiency and smooth operation of the office, ensuring that both internal teams and clients receive timely and professional support.
The Receptionist/Commercial Lines Technical Assistant will be the friendly face and voice of the office, greeting visitors professionally, handling phone communications, and managing mail services. Beyond administrative duties, this role supports the Commercial Lines Department by performing specialized tasks such as setting up ICR tasks for Middle Market accounts, retrieving and updating policy documents from carrier websites, managing loss runs, processing completed tasks, preparing proposals, and handling policy endorsements and audits. Additional duties include updating customer contact information, managing the AMS system, obtaining online flood insurance quotes, issuing certificates, and following up on open endorsement or policy receipt tasks. This position may also involve interacting with premium finance providers and supporting other departmental needs as assigned.
Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a preferred minimum typing speed of 40 to 50 words per minute, and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as online rating programs. While a Property & Casualty License is preferred, it is not mandatory.
