The hiring establishment is a community-focused Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC) and Community-Based Residential Facility (CBRF) dedicated to providing a supportive and safe environment for older adults. This organization operates within the eldercare sector, emphasizing resident-centered services that foster independence, dignity, and quality of life for its residents. With a commitment to maintaining high standards of care and hospitality, the community plays an essential role in the daily lives of its residents by ensuring their needs are met thoroughly and compassionately. As a full-time employer, this community offers a professional and rewarding workplace where employees can contribute positively to the well-being of older adults. This position is posted with a schedule primarily from Monday to Friday and includes weekend availability. The work location is in person, reflecting the engaged and personal nature of the role. The organization also supports its employees with a robust benefits package including health insurance, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, and an employee assistance program among others. The Receptionist role within this community is critical as it provides the first point of contact for residents, families, guests, and vendors. Recognized as the "face" of the community, the Receptionist performs a wide variety of administrative and clerical duties that support the day-to-day operational needs of the facility. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining smooth communication flows, managing office supplies, interacting professionally and warmly with all visitors, and upholding the security protocols of the community. This position requires a resident-centered focus to ensure every interaction enhances the experience and satisfaction of those living and working in the community. Additional responsibilities include answering telephone calls, managing mail and newspaper deliveries, assisting with marketing efforts to prospective residents, and supporting the Activities Coordinator by encouraging resident involvement in scheduled programs. Due to the dynamic nature of the job and community needs, flexibility is required with potential schedules covering holidays, extended shifts, nights, weekends, standby, or on-call duties. The ideal candidate will bring positive energy, initiative, and strong communication skills to the position while demonstrating an understanding and appreciation of the older adult population. Technical skills are also important, as the Receptionist will need to efficiently operate office equipment and computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite. This role provides an exceptional opportunity for someone who values community engagement and is committed to delivering outstanding customer service in a warm and welcoming environment.
