The Production Cook role is integral to our kitchen operations, focused on large batch cooking according to established customer specifications. Candidates for this role must be capable of working under extreme temperatures and thrive in an environment that requires precision, speed, and adherence to safety protocols. This full-time position may require working nights, weekends, and holidays, with overtime as needed to meet production goals. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience cooking in a high-volume institutional catering setting; food prep or fast food experience is insufficient.
The Production Cook prepares entrées based on cycle menus and production sheets, ensuring recipes are followed accurately for diverse airline clients. Above-average knife skills and proficiency with kitchen equipment and machinery are essential. The role entails understanding various cooking techniques and completing recipes accurately, all while ensuring compliance with HACCP standards and safe food handling practices. Effective communication skills in English are necessary to understand instructions and complete production tasks efficiently.
