This part-time Store Associate role is based at Michaels store LA-Fontana, and focuses on maintaining the store’s overall appearance and cleanliness to ensure an inviting environment in accordance with the brand’s standards. The position emphasizes delivering excellent customer service by helping shoppers find products and enjoy their experience. This role requires a strong commitment to store recovery and upkeep, including cleaning, stocking, and merchandising duties that help maintain the store’s professional look and safety standards. Responsibilities include cleaning assigned areas using approved materials and methods, deep cleaning high-traffic areas such as restrooms and break rooms, organizing product displays, and ensuring cleaning equipment is properly managed and replenished as needed. The Store Associate will actively seek out areas needing attention and perform tasks assigned by supervisors in compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines. In addition to cleaning and maintenance duties, this position may also involve customer-facing tasks such as providing a fast, friendly checkout experience including cash handling, enrolling customers in the Rewards program and private label credit cards, supporting omnichannel functions like Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS), and assisting with truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes. This role supports safety, shrink prevention, and operational policy compliance to promote a secure and efficient retail environment. Candidates must be comfortable working in a dynamic retail setting that includes standing for extended periods, lifting and moving products, and working variable shifts including nights, weekends, and early mornings. The position pays between $17.50 and $20.30 per hour and requires team members to be at least 16 years old.
