The Customs Specialist / Entry Writer position at DSV is a vital role based in Iselin, Wood Ave, USA, within the Air & Sea division. This full-time, exempt role reports under general supervision to a licensed Customs Brokerage Manager, Import Operations Manager, or Branch Manager. The primary responsibility of the Customs Specialist is to classify imported goods accurately and process complex import transactions from an assigned customer base. This includes interpreting and applying a deep understanding of U.S. Customs regulations, classification, and valuation. The Specialist will train and advise team members, work closely with clients to develop detailed importer profiles and procedures that reflect clients’ specific import processes, and communicate any regulatory changes or potential issues proactively. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, excellent organization, and the capability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional customer service.
