The Ready Mix Truck Driver role is a pivotal position within Western Rock Products, responsible for safely transporting ready-mix concrete to a variety of job sites including commercial and residential areas. This role demands a professional approach to driving, ensuring compliance with safety standards and product specifications to deliver high-quality materials to clients. The driver operates ready mix trucks both within the plant yard and on public highways, performing critical tasks such as conducting pre- and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness, verifying mix specifications, operating the mixer drum to load and discharge concrete, and managing delivery logistics to meet customer needs efficiently. This position not only requires expert driving skills and adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations—including possession of the appropriate Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Medical Card—but also strong customer service, teamwork, and communication skills. Drivers must be adaptable, dependable, and attentive to safety procedures while maintaining professionalism, especially when dealing with customers or navigating changing work environments. Physical requirements include the ability to sit, climb, walk, kneel, lift heavy loads, and have good vision to safely operate equipment and perform job duties. • Must possess a valid state commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A or Class B
• must possess a valid Medical Card as per DOT standard
• high school diploma or GED preferred
• one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
• ability to write simple correspondence
• ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions
• ability to work well in group or one-on-one settings
