Firefly Aerospace is a cutting-edge, end-to-end responsive space company dedicated to enabling global access to space launch, landing, and operations at any place and any time. The company specializes in small- to medium-lift launch vehicles, lunar landers, and orbital vehicles that support the entire lifecycle of government and commercial missions ranging from low Earth orbit to the Moon and beyond. Utilizing advanced carbon composite structures, patented propulsion technologies, and common components across various vehicle platforms, Firefly Aerospace is able to iterate rapidly, enhance reliability, and reduce the cost of payload delivery. With a commitment to innovation and efficiency, Firefly Aerospace is at the forefront of modern aerospace engineering and space exploration, creating solutions that redefine the possibilities of space missions. The role at Firefly Aerospace involves managing critical launch integration operations at the Vandenberg Space Force Base (SFB) site. This unique dual-role position combines leadership over the Payload Processing Facility (PPF) with the responsibilities of Range Coordination to ensure flawless execution of Firefly’s Alpha launch missions. The role requires a systems-level approach and strong leadership capabilities to align customer needs with facility readiness, regulatory compliance, and range availability. You will drive efforts across several cross-functional teams including Launch Vehicle, Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Avionics, Information Technology (IT), Safety, Facilities, and Mission Management. The role includes planning activities, representing Firefly Aerospace in high-stakes coordination meetings, supporting real-time launch operations, and conducting post-flight mission reviews. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a dynamic leader who thrives in a complex technical environment and is passionate about advancing the future of space exploration and commercial launch services.
