The AS Dining Service at UNL is currently seeking a dedicated and versatile team member to join their Dining Services department on a full-time basis. This role offers a starting wage of $16.00 per hour and requires the candidate to work on-site. The position involves performing a wide range of duties related to food service operations, including setting up and closing down food stations, preparing recipes and ingredients, cooking, restocking supplies, operating dishwashing machines, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. A vital part of the job is ensuring cost and waste control while maintaining high standards of food presentation and monitoring food quality in terms of temperature, taste, and visual appeal. This multi-functional role also includes responsibilities such as training new staff and delivering excellent customer service, thereby ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for all patrons.
In this role, proficiency with computer operations is also necessary for tasks like employee training programs, email communication, employee self-service (ESS), and other related administrative duties. Attention to detail and adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines are paramount.
