The Purchasing Agent II role at SNC represents an exciting opportunity to directly impact the success of these critical programs. This position involves leveraging purchasing and supplier management expertise to procure essential materials, supplies, and services under optimal terms for the organization. The role is dynamic, requiring strategic supplier qualification, high standards of quality assurance, timely delivery oversight, competitive bid evaluation, price negotiation, and meticulous purchase tracking. A key responsibility is the maintenance and accuracy of the supplier database, ensuring all supplier information such as contact details, pricing, and performance records are current and verifiable.
This position also plays a crucial part in cost analysis, identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies, and preparing comprehensive reports for management review. Collaboration across departments including production, finance, and logistics is essential to ensure procurement aligns with organizational goals and strategic projects. Additionally, the role requires adherence to rigorous compliance standards, risk management related to supplier and contractual obligations, and participation in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes.
