The role of Maintenance Technician at Town Village Vestavia Hills is essential to maintaining the quality, safety, and functionality of the community’s physical environment. This part-time, PRN (as needed) position offers a competitive pay rate of $14.00 per hour. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair of both the interior and exterior facilities, including electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating and cooling, structural elements, grounds maintenance, and care of parking areas. Key duties also involve responding promptly to service requests from residents, associates, and management while ensuring equipment and building systems operate efficiently and safely. This position requires a proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment and participates actively in preventive maintenance programs designed to sustain the community’s infrastructure. The Maintenance Technician must be adept at coordinating with outside contractors, keeping detailed records of equipment and repairs, and providing hands-on assistance with housekeeping equipment and apartment turnover tasks. • High school diploma or GED
• Two to three years of experience in maintenance carpentry plumbing electrical HVAC and minor equipment repair
• Ability to speak read and write English
• Ability to push loaded carts and operate cleaning machines
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
