AECOM is currently seeking a Project Account-Cost Analyst I to support financial management activities at San Diego International Airport. This role focuses on analyzing and managing financial aspects of project contracts, ensuring contractor and consultant invoices are processed accurately, compliantly, and on time. The Project Accountant – Cost Analyst I will review invoice accuracy and completeness, audit for proper rates and documentation consistent with contract terms, and maintain detailed records of payments, contract amendments, and reimbursable expenses. This position also supports financial reporting and auditing efforts crucial to project success and regulatory compliance.
Ideal candidates will have a keen attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles and contract management, and proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel. The position requires excellent collaboration skills to work alongside project teams and vendors effectively. Candidates should have at least a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting, with around 2+ years of relevant experience, including knowledge of accounts payable, cost control, and reporting. Successful clearance of TSA background checks and drug/alcohol screening is mandatory due to working at the airport. A valid Class C driver’s license and eligibility to participate in the Airport Authority’s Authorized Drivers Program are also required.
