The role of Production Supervisor at Rise Baking Company is a critical leadership position responsible for managing the operational aspects of a production shift within the facility. This position encompasses overseeing the production and packaging process to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently while maintaining rigorous quality and food safety standards. The Production Supervisor directly coordinates with production associates by establishing work schedules and monitoring performance metrics such as productivity, labor costs, waste control, and safety compliance. One of the fundamental responsibilities of the Production Supervisor is to drive continuous improvement by training and coaching employees and ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and food safety protocols. The supervisor is expected to utilize performance measurement systems to provide constructive feedback to their team, fostering a culture of accountability for factors like attendance, job expectations, and productivity goals. Operating within the designated labor budget, the Production Supervisor must balance resource allocation with production demands to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Additionally, the Production Supervisor participates in pre-operation audits that assess readiness and identify any potential deficiencies requiring resolution before production commences. They play an active role in maintaining a safe working environment by enforcing safety standards and addressing any personnel or performance issues in collaboration with Human Resources. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to think critically and manage multiple priorities under fast-paced conditions. The role offers varied shifts including first shift from 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM, second shift from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and third shift from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, providing flexibility for candidates interested in different working hours. The salary range for this role is $73,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on factors such as location, education, experience, and certifications.   • Degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years of leadership experience in production, preferably in the food industry, or manufacturing experience required
  • SQF, BRC, or AIB certification knowledge desired
