The Private Events Coordinator at Griffin Club LA plays a pivotal role within the private events team by managing every aspect of the event planning process. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Los Angeles, with an hourly salary ranging from $27.00 to $29.00. Reporting directly to the Private Events Manager, the coordinator is responsible for engaging with clients, overseeing event inquiries, and ensuring seamless event execution. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, creative, and organized, possessing the skills necessary to handle the demands of a high-pressure catering environment with professionalism and energy. They will act as the primary contact for members and clients, facilitating communication and coordination between various departments, vendors, and service providers to ensure a flawless experience from proposal to post-event reconciliation. This role requires strong administrative capabilities and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining strict timelines and quality standards. The coordinator will be in charge of creating and distributing banquet event orders (BEOs), managing event calendars, conducting site visits and tastings, and overseeing the event setup and execution. A critical aspect of this role is maintaining accurate billing records and collaborating with the accounting team to guarantee timely invoicing. The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, advanced computer proficiency, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Prior experience in a club setting is preferred but not mandatory, while 1-2 years of experience in a high-pressure catering environment is required.
