The current opening is for a Prep Cook position based at the company's Commissary Warehouse location at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, located specifically at 9844 40th Ave S, Seattle, WA, 98118. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for maintaining kitchen stations efficiently, including managing inventory and ensuring all food, paper products, and condiments are sufficiently stocked daily. Your duties will involve proper handling, storage, and rotation of food products to comply with health and safety standards, as well as performing regular maintenance and cleaning of kitchen machinery and equipment. You will also be tasked with completing opening, ongoing, and closing checklists to uphold operational excellence and reporting any shortages promptly to management.
This role requires attention to detail and adherence to sanitation regulations, including the completion of specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisors. The Prep Cook must return all used items to their designated places, organize work and storage areas, including coolers and refrigerators, and ensure trash containers are emptied and re-lined consistently. Effective communication skills are essential for discussing shift setup with the manager and ensuring all duties are completed before leaving.
This position is ideal for candidates with at least one year of experience in a food service environment, who have a food handler's permit as required by law, and possess the physical capability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods. The ability to read, speak, and understand English is critical to ensure proper communication with guests and team members.
