The Cleaner position at ABM is designed to provide essential cleaning and upkeep services for assigned areas within various facilities. This role is ideal for individuals entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience or education, as no prior experience is required and on-the-job training is provided. The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order, following safety protocols, and supporting the overall facility management team to ensure environments are clean, safe, and welcoming. Working hours for this position are typically from 7am to 4pm, five days per week, with the possibility of weekend shifts. The pay range for this role is $17.50 to $18.50 per hour, subject to variation based on education, experience, skills, geographic location, and market conditions. Key responsibilities for this role include cleaning buildings and facilities, using chemical cleaners and power equipment safely to avoid damage, notifying management of repair needs, maintaining effective communication with clients and team members, complying with all safety and quality standards, dusting and cleaning furniture, fixtures, floors, walls, and equipment, moving items to facilitate cleaning, cleaning glass partitions and mirrors, washing blinds, emptying trash, performing seasonal outdoor tasks such as sweeping walks and removing snow, and servicing restrooms.
