The role on offer is a vital position within the casino and spa environment, aimed at maintaining cleanliness and a safe, welcoming atmosphere. This position involves comprehensive janitorial and housekeeping duties across multiple areas, including casino floors, spas, parking lots, restrooms, and outdoor spaces. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing garbage removal continuously, operating and maintaining cleaning equipment, and ensuring that all areas meet high standards of hygiene and presentation. This includes snow and ice removal to maintain safety during winter months.
Working in this role means being proactive about maintaining cleanliness in high-traffic areas such as slot machine floors and public restrooms, providing a sanitary environment that contributes positively to guest satisfaction. The role also includes monitoring parking lots for cleanliness, including proper maintenance of outdoor smoking areas. The job demands handling floor care machines like buffers and extractors, requiring knowledge of standard cleaning practices and safety protocols.
Physical stamina is crucial as the role involves extensive physical activity including walking, lifting up to 75 pounds, bending, stooping, and standing throughout the shift. Safety compliance is a key component of this role, with mandatory training on hazardous materials and bloodborne pathogens to ensure safe working conditions. - High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in janitorial or housekeeping roles
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 75 pounds
