They are currently hiring for an essential maintenance and janitorial position that plays a crucial role in upholding the cleanliness and safety standards across the casino and spa facilities. This role involves significant physical activity and demands a dedicated individual who takes pride in maintaining a spotless and safe environment for guests and employees alike. The available position is primarily focused on continuous trash removal throughout the casino and spa areas, including floors between slot machines and other public spaces. The employee will be responsible for operating and maintaining various cleaning equipment to sustain cleanliness standards efficiently. Part of the role includes providing employees with cleaning equipment and premixed chemicals as necessary. An additional responsibility is ensuring that the casino's exterior, including snow and ice removal, remains clean and hazard-free. Parking lots, including the hotel lot, demand regular supervision for trash removal, sweeping cigarette butts, and emptying outdoor smoking receptacles. The successful candidate will perform vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of floors in the casino and spa, as well as cleaning and sanitizing guest and employee restrooms with proper stocking of amenities. The role also extends to spa treatment rooms, relaxation areas, locker rooms, lobbies, wet rooms, pool decks, fitness centers, yoga rooms, and other similar areas to ensure they meet hygiene standards. Working in compliance with safety procedures, including the use of applicable safety equipment, is mandatory to maintain a safe work environment. Employees are expected to identify and communicate any unsafe conditions to supervisors or the Safety Committee, contributing to a culture of safety and risk awareness. Reliable attendance and punctuality are fundamental to this role as it requires consistent presence during scheduled shifts for operational effectiveness. The candidate should also maintain good public relations with guests and staff, serving as a courteous and informative presence throughout the facility. Compensation for this position starts at $18.00 per hour, with potential increases based on experience, and overnight shifts include a shift differential.
