Sanitizing duties require the use of germicidal solutions to clean surfaces below shoulder height, including chairs, countertops, telephones, and walls. The role involves detailed bathroom cleaning routines, which include sanitizing sinks, toilets, and replenishing soap and paper dispensers. Trash removal and floor maintenance form significant parts of the job. The janitorial cleaner empties trash cans carefully, wiping them clean if liquids are present and replacing liners. Floor duties include dust mopping using proper techniques and vacuuming under furniture to maintain spotless flooring. • Ability to work independently and follow supervisor instructions
