The Porter role at Asset Living is a vital position focused on maintaining the overall upkeep and appearance of the property to ensure an exceptional living environment for residents. This is a full-time position with a pay range from $17.50 to $19.00 per hour, depending on the candidate’s experience and skillset. The Porter assists in various maintenance activities including corrective, preventative, routine, and cosmetic maintenance of the property. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager, the Porter plays a critical role in the make-ready process for units while supporting the company's operational objectives. The responsibilities of the Porter include daily onsite attendance, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of grounds, buildings, breezeways, and community common areas. The role also requires responding promptly to resident and management requests, performing inspections to identify and mitigate hazardous conditions, and assisting in a preventative maintenance program designed to extend the lifespan of the property. Safety and compliance with OSHA standards are integral to the position, as is the management of maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies. The Porter also participates in emergency on-call duties and supports customer service efforts by representing the community positively and consistently enforcing community policies.
