The role of the Porter at Gerber Collision & Glass is integral in supporting the overall repair process by ensuring cleanliness and organization within the facility and preparing customer vehicles both before and after repairs. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18 to $20, commensurate with skill, education, and experience, along with eligibility for bonus opportunities linked to individual or business performance. The Porter is responsible for executing the WOW Operating Way (WOW) plan consistently, maintaining the housekeeping of office and production areas, and ensuring the exterior and interior of customer vehicles are clean and ready for delivery. Duties also include maintaining parking lots and grounds, transporting customer vehicles to sublet locations, and supporting safety by keeping the work environment orderly. This position requires an individual with strong attention to detail, reliability, and a positive attitude, as well as the ability to multitask effectively. Automotive experience is preferred but not mandatory. Physical abilities required include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, and safely operating a motor vehicle. The work environment may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, thus requiring cautious adherence to safety protocols.
