The Porter role at Gerber Collision & Glass is crucial in complementing the overall high quality of repairs by maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of customer vehicles and the work environment. This role focuses on preparing the vehicles for delivery by thoroughly cleaning them and ensuring that the shop and office spaces are tidy and well-maintained. Porters are responsible for pre-washing vehicles before repairs and performing interior and exterior cleaning post-repair, enhancing the customer experience by presenting their vehicle in excellent condition upon return. The Porter also manages the organization of the production area, including waste disposal and neat arrangement of tools and equipment, which supports the efficiency and safety of the repair facility. Additionally, Porters are tasked with maintaining the shop's parking lots and grounds, which may include seasonal duties such as shoveling sidewalks. The position requires physical activity such as lifting, walking, and operating vehicles, making it ideal for energetic individuals with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail. This position is full-time and offers competitive hourly compensation ranging from $15.00 to $21.00 per hour.
