The Porter position at Gerber Collision & Glass is an integral role within the collision repair process. This role is focused on complementing the high standards of repair work by ensuring that customer vehicles are clean, both inside and out, prior to delivery. The Porter is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the shop and office facilities, which supports an efficient and professional environment for both customers and staff. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to the WOW Operating Way (WOW), which represents Gerber’s dedication to exceeding customer expectations consistently. The Porter pre-washes vehicles before repair work begins and cleans them thoroughly after repairs are complete, ensuring vehicles are presented in the best condition possible. Additional responsibilities include transporting vehicles to sublet locations, managing waste disposal, and maintaining the parking lots and grounds, including snow removal when necessary. The position offers hourly compensation ranging from $15.00 to $20.00 or more, reflecting the important contribution of the Porter to the overall customer experience and operational excellence. This role is suitable for individuals who have automotive experience, a valid driver’s license, and enjoy working in a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment.
