The Porter/Gatekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the property in compliance with The Scion Group’s standard operating procedures as well as OSHA and industry standards. The role involves physically demanding work such as trash removal, sweeping, lawn care including mowing and trimming, and light repairs such as fixing exterior lighting and stairwell treads. This position also requires familiarity with irrigation systems, pool and spa maintenance, and seasonal landscaping, including planting and pruning. Safety is a key focus for this role; the individual must promote awareness to minimize property loss, damage, or injury. They must know emergency procedures including the operation of water, gas shutoff valves, and access points to critical facilities. The Porter/Gatekeeper also assists with snow removal and pressure washing of various outdoor surfaces during seasonal needs. • High school/GED or trade school diploma and one year of full-time experience in some aspect of lawn/grounds maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Efficient in reading instructions and documenting labor and materials
• Record of punctuality and dependability, ability to work with under pressure of deadlines, and schedule flexibility to accommodate after-hours and weekend emergencies
• Possession of a valid driver's license
• Ability to stand 8 hours or longer per day and lift up to 100 lbs as necessary
